The Staffordville School PTO got an early start on the Easter season when it held its “Bunny Bash!” in the school gym on April 9. Parents were invited to bring the kids in for a visit with the Easter Bunnies (there were two) and have their pictures taken.

There were craft tables set up for the children to create Easter eggs, make bracelets and necklaces, and plant seedlings to take home.

Parents shopped at a number of other craft tables. George Krava was there with his assortment of home-made jams, which he proclaimed to be “the best stuff in the world.”

Sonya Olson presided over a table full of products from Pampered Chef. “We have everything you need to cook, inside or out,” said Olson, an independent consultant.

Members of the Stafford High School freshman class raised money for the Class of 2014. They offered face-painting for the kids and provided popcorn.

A number of Eastern baskets were raffled off. “All of the items in the baskets were donated by the parents,” said PTO volunteer Terri Hogist. “Some of our more creative members put the baskets together for us.”

All proceeds from the event will go to the benefit of the Staffordville School. The PTO collected canned food for Stafford’s Safenet Ministries as an entry donation fee.
