The inaugural Performing Arts Recognition Ceremony was hosted by the South Windsor High School Friends of the Performing Arts and the SWHS Music Department on May 12.  Recognition was given to students from all music and drama programs.

South Windsor resident Len Besthoff, WFSB Channel 3 Eyewitness News bureau chief, served as the Master of Ceremonies. Greater Hartford Council of the Arts CEO Kate Bolduc, also of South Windsor, was the guest speaker. Bolduc spoke about the importance of arts experience in terms of prospective employers.
