Bowers Elementary School celebrated Flag Day on Tuesday, June 14, with an outdoor ceremony led by the fifth-grade class. Students, faculty and family members gathered around the flag pole to say the Pledge of Allegiance and sing “God Bless America,” led by the fifth-grade chorus.

“We celebrated the community of America,” said Bowers Principal Mary Lou Ruggiero, “and then we celebrated the Bowers community.” After the Flag Day ceremony, Ruggiero and PTA Co-President Jodie Mosher-Towle officially cut the ribbon on the new school sign, which was donated by the PTA.
