SWHS holds commencement, announces top students

South Windsor High School held its commencement ceremony on Tuesday, June 14, at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford. On June 8, SWHS Principal Daniel Sullivan announced the class valedictorian and salutatorian as Michelle Keilich and Benjamin Waksman, respectively.
Keilich has been recognized with various academic awards from both local and national organizations. She is also an All-Conference athlete in outdoor and indoor track and field, has been active with the Student Council and the Environmental Club, and earned a Gold Award from the Girl Scouts of America. Keilich will study finance at Boston College.
Waksman has also earned several prestigious awards, notably in science, math and social studies. At SWHS, Waksman has been highly involved in several activities, including the FIRST Robotics team. He will be attending Yale University in the fall.
