RHAM High School valedictorian Ryan Cummings is a well-rounded young man with a variety of interests. A Hebron resident, Cummings has been a member of the National Honor Society since his junior year. He plays the tenor saxophone and the piano, and has participated as a member of RHAM’s wind ensemble. Cummings was a member of both RHAM’s cross-country and track teams, and started a mountain biking club at the school. He plans to attend Dartmouth College in the fall, where he will study pre-med.
RHAM High School salutatorian Lucy Xu is also a member of the National Honor Society. She is a Marlborough resident who has participated on the school’s math team, serving as captain over the past two years. She has volunteered at both St. Francis Hospital and the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. Xu will enter the University of Pennsylvania in the fall, where she will participate in the Vagelos Scholars Program in Molecular Life Science, a program designed to prepare the “next generation of molecular biologists [with] a deep understanding of thermodynamic and kinetic factors... an ability to use new developments in chemistry and physics,” according to the UPenn website.
