The members of the Class of 2011 found themselves in a position no other East Windsor High School graduating class has - away from their high school for commencement exercises.

Seeking to spice up the formality and the seriousness of the occasion, East Windsor High School held its first graduation at La Renaissance, a banquet facility in East Windsor.

Seventy-eight graduates got the opportunity to descend a staircase and be recognized on a grand stage on June 24. Graduates were treated to a formal ceremony with a special message from salutatorian Nicholas Parker, who taped his graduation speech and had it played on a video screen. Parker left for the Air Force Academy prior to the graduation ceremony.
