Thousands turned out for music and fun at Riverfest in Great River Park on July 9.

Throngs of people listened to music, as they sat on blankets on the grassy lawn, and enjoyed fried dough, ice cream and other treats from concession stands. Children and adults had fun with face painting, and little ones jumped on the giant inflatable “bounce houses.”

The fun continued after dark with a spectacular fireworks display that capped off the evening.

Riverfest is sponsored by Riverfront Recapture, and this year's firework's display was presented by Mohegan Sun.
