Lebanon 9-10 All-Stars fight their way to district finals

The Lebanon 9- and 10-year-old All-Star baseball team had a good run during the 2011 tournament. They easily breezed past Thompson during the first game, taking home a victory with a final score of 12-4. Round two brought them up against Columbia. The neighboring foes proved to be more of a challenge for the team, bringing Lebanon its first loss, with a final score of 4-3.
For round three, Lebanon realized an easy win against Brooklyn, with a final score of 11-1. Equally easy were a 12-1 win against Killingly and an 11-0 win against Pomfret. On Thursday, July 7, Lebanon again faced local rivals from the Columbia All-Star team. This time, Lebanon scored a victory with an 8-2 win over Columbia, a win that earned them a chance to play Woodstock for the district championship. The undefeated Woodstock team proved to be a tough opponent, but the Lebanon All-Stars gave them a run for their money. The final score was 5-4, making Woodstock the district champions.
Coaches for the Lebanon 9-10 All-Star team are: Jim Bennett, Shane Crawford and Jose Lotts. The Lebanon 9-10 All-Stars are: Tristan Walker, Michah Person, Zach Crawford, Alex Lotts, Josh Perry, Clark Vigue, Patrick Quealy, Ryan Skaff, Bradley Wieczorek, Parker Bennett, Jason Valery and Zach Bazzono. The All-Stars are drawn from each of the four 9- and 10-year-old teams that play during the regular Little League season.
