On July 30, Safe Net Ministries, Inc. held its fourth annual car show on the grounds of John the Jackman in Stafford Springs. Safe Net Ministries Vice President and volunteer Keith Marin, who coordinated the car show, said, “We had 110 entries this year, up from 74 last year.”

In addition to car show participants, the day's fundraising activities included raffles and food sales. Trophies were given in several categories, including Director's Choice, Best in Show, People's Choice and Owners' Choice.

With all proceeds benefiting Safe Net Ministries, the money raised can help more than 100 families per distribution. “Food Cupboard clientele has been averaging 120 families per distribution, with three to five new families registering each time. Some people do not come every time, and some stop coming when their situation improves,” said Marin.
