At the Aug. 2 regular meeting of the Rotary Club of Manchester, Rotary President Beth Stafford was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.

A Paul Harris Fellow is recognition of a gift made to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. The recognition comes after $1,000 is donated to the Rotary Foundation by the Rotarian or on behalf of the Rotarian. It is an important recognition to a Rotarian. The Rotarian is presented with a lapel pin, certificate and medallion.

Beth’s parents, John and Joyce Maguffee, from Missouri, her husband Scott, niece Emma, grandchildren Taylor and Jordan, good friend Amelie, and fellow Rotarian and mentor Al Alexander attended the special recognition dinner. Alexander presented the award to Stafford.

“I am so happy my family could be with me to celebrate such an important achievement,” Stafford said. “I love being a Rotarian and am honored to serve the club as president of the club this year. The Manchester Rotary Club lives the motto, ‘Service Above Self,’ and it serves its community, state, nation and world well,” she added.
