The Haddad Windham Invitational was the first meet of the season for the RHAM High School varsity boys’ cross-country team. “We’re looking forward to getting off to a good start,” said assistant coach Kathy Allen. The team has close to 60 members overall, with 12 seniors on the roster.
During last season, “We were kind of in the middle of the pack,” said Allen. “We had some good runs. We lost a couple of strong runners, so we need to build back up. But we have some very promising young runners that are really coming along.”
The head coach of the RHAM boys’ cross-country team is Mark Law. The only home meet for the team was scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 27, against Tolland and Hartford Public. Catch the runners at Rockville High School on Tuesday, Oct. 4, when they take on Rockville and Bloomfield. The meet begins at 3:45 p.m.
