It was a beautiful autumn day for the second annual Fall Festival and Scarecrow Festival on Saturday, Oct. 2. The event was presented by the South Windsor Parks and Recreation Department and the South Windsor Junior Women’s Club. Several teenagers from the South Windsor High School Interact Club, Boy Scouts and individuals helped with the children’s events, which included face-painting, balloons, pumpkin decorating, a Haunted House and a moon bounce.

The winners in the Scarecrow contest included “Witch way to  ECHN Breast  Care Collaborative?” in the business category, created by SWJWC; Boy Scouts Pack 389 in the organization/family category and the Mayor’s Choice; and the People’s Choice was the South Windsor Community Foundation’s Spelling Bee scarecrow display.
