The holidays are a time to look back on warm memories, and one way to honor your own family’s “Christmas past” is by cherishing and displaying heirloom decorations.
Be sure to take special care of old ornaments or decorations that have been passed down through the generations. Invest in new bubble wrap or boxes to help keep them safe for many more generations to come.
Many vintage or “retro” decorations are coming back in style, such as the brightly-colored, shiny glass balls, candles in the shape of carolers, large 1950s-style “bubble lights” that fit over bulbs on a traditional string of tree lights, crystal icicles and tinsel.
Even that silver-colored fake tree from grandma’s attic can be an eye-catching showpiece if you pair it a few white lights and simple glass ornaments. Be creative, and be proud of your family’s Christmas past.
