It seemed like the whole town got into the holiday spirit on Dec. 4, as Lebanon gathered to celebrate the lighting of the Christmas tree on the green.

As usual, the entire one-mile-plus green was ringed by luminaries, courtesy of Lebanon Boy Scout Troop 180. The Scouts later held a Breadbowl fundraiser at the American Legion.

Following the tree-lighting and carol sing, the fire department hosted a bonfire on the green behind the library. Town museums were open and hosting a number of different activities, including crafts in the Lebanon Historical Society Museum sponsored by the Girl Scouts. Performances at the museums included songs by the Lyman Memorial High School Choir.
