With only one senior on this year’s Windham Technical High School varsity baseball team, “We are in a building year due to losing seven starters,” said head coach Bill O’Connor.

O’Connor expects the team’s one senior, Travis Lemire, “to be a leader on and off the field,” he said. Junior Bailey Lovell should “be the anchor of our pitching staff,” said O’Connor. Junior Brandon Martingano is expected to be anchor of the team’s outfield. Junior Nick Paggioli should be “a strong defensive player,” said O’Connor.

The assistant coach of the Windham Tech Tigers is Steve Cervizzi, Jr.

The Tigers have put together a spotty beginning to their season, with three losses followed by two wins and then another loss. During a 4-11 April 13 loss to Norwich Tech, they were producing offensively, but defensive errors cost them some runs.
