With a 3-0 victory over Bolton, on Nov. 1, the Coventry girls’ volleyball team finishes the regular season undefeated. Patriots victories this season include an Oct. 24 win against Bristol Eastern. It was the single loss Bristol Eastern has faced thus far this year, as the Lancers went on to defeat previously-undefeated RHAM for the CCC conference title. Coventry's record earns them the NCCC conference championship title.
Looking ahead to the state tournament, Coventry finds itself tied for first place in Division S with Morgan, with both teams boasting 18-0 records.
Coventry senior Marina Rose currently holds the number-one spot state-wide for hits, kills and digs. Sophomore Emma Rose holds the number-one spot for assists. Emma and Marina are fifth and sixth, respectively, for aces.
The seniors on this year’s Coventry volleyball team are Katie Riddell, Marina Rose, Claire Hall, Erika Trudon, Alyssa Keeney and Jess Beausoleil. The team is coached by Ryan Giberson.
