The RHAM girls’ soccer team finished the regular season with a 13-3 record. With a Nov. 2 win against Rockville (final 5-0), the Sachems finished the season with a 13-1 record in the CCC East, clinching the league title. Goals against Rockville were scored by Alex Cascio assisted by Ashleigh Jepson; Sierra Stone assisted by Brooke Davis; Mykaela Scarpace unassisted; Mykaela Scarpace assisted by Sierra Stone; and Sierra Stone assisted by Sydney Aldrich.

According to the CCC website, the first annual girls’ soccer post season tournament was scheduled to be played this year on Nov. 1 and 3. RHAM’s win in CCC East would have secured them a spot in the tournament. However, due to superstorm Sandy and the resultant cancelled school days and delayed games, the tournament was cancelled.

The Sachems will now turn their focus to preparation for the state tournament. RHAM follows East Lyme (14-0-2) and Avon (13-1-2) in Division L.
