After a disappointing performance against Bristol Eastern that lost them the CCC title, the RHAM volleyball team was back in form, as the Sachems took on E.O. Smith on Nov. 10. The Sachems, 18-0 during the regular season, earned a bye for round one of the Class L tourney and took on the Panthers (13-5) for round two.
From the outset, RHAM showed the usual polish and precision that has been the team’s hallmark for the majority of the season. The result was a 3-0 win for RHAM, with game scores of 25-14, 25-10 and 25-16.
The win advanced RHAM to the quarterfinal round of the state tourney, where they were scheduled to play Woodstock Academy (15-4) on Nov. 13.
