Suspect sought in Edwin Road assault

As of press time, police were still searching for suspected assailant Nathaniel "Nate" Chambers, 27, of 144 Pratt St., Apartment 2H, in Meriden, Conn., who police believe beat two men at a local business on Jan. 8.
Police were called to Forced Induction Motor Sports, LLC, located at 51 Edwin Road on Tuesday, Jan. 8, at 9:20 p.m. by a man who said that he and another man at the business had been beaten.
Arriving on the scene, police found both men with serious head and face wounds. One of the men was not responsive. They were taken to Hartford Hospital, where police attempted to work with one of the victims to identify the assailant.
The Connecticut State Police Major Crime Squad was called to assist with collecting evidence at the scene.
On the morning of Wednesday, Jan. 9, South Windsor police released the names of the victims, Robert Lareau, age 28, of Enfield, owner of Forced Induction Motor Sports, LLC, and employee Ryan Kelleher, age 21, of Windsor. Both were receiving care at Hartford Hospital. Lareau was in the intensive care unit, while Kelleher was able to assist police with the investigation.
On Thursday, Jan. 10, police released the identity of the suspected assailant, Chambers, who is wanted for conspiracy to commit assault in the first degree and conspiracy to commit robbery in the first degree.
