WLPD seeks suspect in armed robbery of Subway

On Jan. 15 at approximately 12:04 a.m., the Windsor Locks Police Department responded to an emergency 911 call that the Subway Restaurant, located at 4 National Drive, was robbed at gun point. Preliminary information indicates that the suspect entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money. After taking an undetermined amount of cash, the suspect fled on foot from the scene. No injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as a dark-skinned male, approximately 6 feet tall, 200 pounds, wearing a mask over his face, dark-colored pants and a black jacket with a gray hooded sweatshirt. The face mask worn by the suspect depicted the face of a monkey.
