The South Windsor Police Department is looking for more information about an early-morning single-car accident that sent the driver to the hospital via Lifestar helicopter.

Around 5:15 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, South Windsor police say that Chad Dandridge, age 23, of 2704 Millpond Drive, in South Windsor, was found conscious and alert, but had sustained injury to his hip, leg and face during the rollover accident on Pleasant Valley Road near Ellington Road.

Police said Dandridge was transported to Hartford Hospital via Lifestar helicopter for treatment. The roadway was immediately closed for investigation purposes, and was re-opened by 10 a.m. South Windsor police traffic investigators were assisted by members of Metro Traffic Services.

Dandridge’s injuries were not thought to be life-threatening, police said. The vehicle involved was an Infiniti G35 four-door sedan. It is believed that speed was a contributing factor, said police, who added that no charges have been filed at this time, and the investigation is continuing.

Witnesses are asked to contact SWPD at 860-644-2551.
