Colchester Parks and Recreation supports the efforts of all the town’s parents to raise well-rounded, confident children prepared to reach their fullest potential. Colchester Day Camp is designed to provide opportunities to develop all the skills your child needs for a successful future, including character development, and the power of positive thinking – believing in themselves!
Every day, our super campers have many opportunities to learn about being a good friend, working together as a team, being compassionate, fair, honest and responsible, taking pride in their camp community, being respectful and empathetic to everyone, making choices and following directions. I’m sure you would agree these are critical skills needed for success.
When kids have multiple opportunities throughout their day to develop these characteristics and personal values, magic happens. There’s a special smile on their faces with every accomplishment; every new friend made, every target the arrow hits, every new game played, every bracelet they make, every song they sing. With each experience, they are growing and becoming more confident – they are learning they can do it. They are making memories that will last a lifetime.
Our staff leads by example. When your child is at Colchester Day Camp, they are enriched by the most dedicated, responsible conscientious counselors and specialists under the leadership of Director Cari Duigou and Assistant Director Corey Geisman. As positive role models, our super staff creates a camp environment where character values are demonstrated with every interaction. In the world of Day Camp, it’s all about your camper, and our staff wouldn’t have it any other way. That’s the Colchester Day Camp difference!
Meet our SUPER STAFF at the Day Camp & Kindercamp Open House on Thursday, April 25, from 5 to 7 p.m. under the Pavilion at the RecPlex, 215 Old Hebron Road (rain location: Town Hall).
