The Rockville Rotary Club is holding its 30th annual Rose Sale on June 14. Proceeds from the sale are used to fund scholarships for students from Rockville, Tolland, and Ellington High Schools. Typically, a student from each school receives a $1,000 scholarship.

Rose sale chairman Frank Borysevicz said the Rotary has again maintained the low price of just $10 for a dozen long-stem roses in a florists' box.  He said the great deal on roses and being able to make a donation to a worth cause at the same time is a “win-win.” He added that the local community has always been very supportive of the sale, and he is often asked in advance when the sale will take place.

Roses can be pre-ordered by contacting any Rotarian, or by calling 860-559-9130. The flower delivery will take place between 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., on June 14, at the Vernon Circle Plaza, at the corner of Hartford Turnpike and Talcottville Road.

Students interested in applying for the scholarships should contact the guidance office at their high school.
