Colchester Day Campers recently banged out the beat during their first week of camp with the camp version of “Stomp.”

This is just one of the special events held by Colchester Parks & Rec. to kick off summer.

The town staff sends a very special ‘thank you’ to Eddie Branceforte of Colchester for donating all the drywall buckets.

Campers painted and decorated each bucket, and made drum sticks out of plastic hangers, learning how to reduce, reuse and recycle while making music.

Colchester Parks & Rec. camps will continue for the next seven weeks. Like the program on Facebook to keep up with all the daily fun through pictures and videos. While you’re at work, you’ll know your campers are having the best summer ever. Register online at www.colchesterct.gov/rec.
