Wells Fargo Bank in East Hartford robbed; police searching for suspect

At approximately 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, the Wells Fargo Bank at 18 Main St. in East Hartford was robbed, according to the East Hartford Police Department. The suspect implied he had a weapon and the bank teller turned over an undisclosed amount of money, police said. No one was injured.

Police reports describe the suspect as a medium-build black male in his 30s. The suspect fled the scene with two other individuals in a vehicle. Police say the vehicle has since been recovered.
