Kids are all smiles as they head back to school in Manchester

The bookbags were packed and the school buses rolling, as Manchester students donned their back-to-school duds and headed cheerfully out their doors for new classes and new teachers on Aug. 28. Manchester’s 6,800 public school students are served by 10 elementary schools, one sixth grade academy, one middle school, one regional academy, one alternate education program, and one public high school.
