The East Hampton Youth Football Mighty Mights may be made up of players in the 6-year-old to 8-year-old range, but they are a force to be reckoned with on the field. In a 12-12 tie with a tough Bloomfield team on Sept. 22, the Hawks had moments when they could do it all, including a nice touchdown pass by quarterback Nicholas Chunko to teammate Nate Ireland in the first half of the game.

The score was 12-0 in the Hawks’ favor at half-time, but the Bloomfield team battled back in the second half, tying the game with just minutes left to play. The Mighty Might age group does not play overtime, so the score stands at 12 all, but it was a great effort on this third game of the season for the Hawks.

Dennis Ireland is the head coach for the team. This week the Hawks travel to Berlin for a Sunday, Sept. 29, game to be played at 3 p.m.
