The Wood Memorial Library invited women to enjoy a Ladies Night Out on Oct. 18. The event entailed wine tasting and sampling of hors d’oeuvres, and the parting gift for the ladies was a recipe book containing all the recipes for the treats that were tasted that night.
“We have Pam Lapponese from The Pampered Chef,” said Mary Wilde. “She is wonderful. She has brought so much to the event. Pam has many ideas that she will be sharing with the ladies tonight.”
Diane Gagnon attended the special night out. “I knew Diane Boxer from high school,” said Gagnon. “She was a part of this evening’s event. I am here to support her interests in the project, but I am always interested in helping Wood Library. What more can I ask for? I get to help the library and at the same time, I get a night out to taste wonderful wine and great hors d’oeuvres.”
“I am one of the Friends of Wood Library,” said Joan Walsh. “It is important to me to support this library. I am also a member of the South Windsor Historical Society. This library is full of history.”
Family Funday is being held at Wood Memorial Library on Nov. 23, from 2 to 4 p.m. The day will include a wreath-making workshop. On Nov. 29, Wood Memorial Library is hosting the third annual Gingerbread House Festival. For more information on upcoming events, visit www.woodmemoriallibrary.org.
