The Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce once again provided a fun venue for shopping local at the annual Jingle Bell Mingle on Dec. 3, held at the Gallery on New London Turnpike. More than 30 vendors had everything from farm-fresh products to hand-made wood carvings, to clothing, jewelry and accessories.

“It's very festive for the holidays,” said Chamber President Mary Ellen Dombrowski, adding that foot traffic was steady throughout the afternoon. “It went wonderfully, with a great variety of vendors,” Dombrowski said. “The vendors are happy, and the customers are happy.”

The Chamber is also gearing up for its Annual Dinner and Business Meeting, which will take place Jan. 29, at the Glastonbury Riverfront Community Center. The annual event draws more members than any other event and will include the presentation of the "Business Person of the Year” and the "Ambassador of the Year” awards, as well as the President’s awards.
