On Dec. 7, members of the Windham High School Student Council spent their morning in front of Jillson Square, collecting food items for members of the local community during this year’s "Fill a Bus" campaign. Last year’s event collected more than 1,000 items, and students expected to meet or surpass that number this year. Collections were also being taken between classes at the high school.

M.J. Bus Line, which services the Windham public schools district, provided the bus for the event, as well as drivers. Volunteers said that participation this year by Windham students was up significantly, with many students wanting to help out with the drive.
