Windsor police report robbery on Poquonock Avenue

On Tuesday, Feb. 4, at approximately 11:38 p.m. Jay’s Mobil 2, located at 680 Poquonock Ave., in Windsor, was robbed at knifepoint by a lone white male suspect.  The suspect parked in an adjacent parking lot and walked into the gas station, where he jumped over the counter, and told the clerk to open the register. The suspect took the cash drawer out the register and exited the store. The suspect ran to his vehicle, which was seen traveling north on Route 75. The suspect’s vehicle was described as a small, dark-colored vehicle. 

The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 5’10” tall, average build, wearing dark-colored sweatpants with a small white stripe, a gray hooded sweatshirt, a heavy blue and gray plaid jacket, a black ski type mask, black sneakers, and white socks covering his hands. He was holding a box cutter.

No one was injured in the robbery.
