Celebrate Black History Month

NORWICH- Celebrate Black History Month and the rich history of African Americans at the annual Sweet Potato Festival on Feb. 25 from noon to 3 p.m. at the United Congregational Church, 87 Broadway in Norwich. The luncheon menu will feature barbecued and baked chicken, macroni and cheese, blackeyed peas and rice, collard greens, mashed sweet potatoes, cornbread, peach cobbler and punch. Assorted sweet potato desserts will also be for sale. Cost for the luncheon is $25. Entertainment will be provided by NAACP Robertsine Youth Council.
