SALEM- Salem Public Library offers the following book discussion groups for adults. Call the library at 860-859-1130 for more information. Books in the Afternoon: Meets the last Thursday of the month at 1 p.m. Nov. 29: "Kitchen House" by Kathleen Grisson; Dec. 27: Gimpel the Fool and the Spinoza of Market Street by Isaac Bashevis Singer. Tuesday Night Book Group meets the third Thursday of the moth at 7:15 p.m. Nov. 20: "The Sense of an Ending," by Julian Barnes; Dec. 18: "Last Night at the Lobster" by Stewart O'Nan.
