'Cancer: Facts and Myths'
ENFIELD - On Dec. 11 at 7 p.m., the Enfield Public Library will host "Cancer: Facts and Myths," presented by Johnson Memorial Hospital with speaker Jaykumar Thumar, M.D.
Board-certified oncologist, Jaykumar Thumar, M.D. will discuss common false beliefs and myths about cancer, as well as shed light onto the recent advancements in the field of cancer treatment. Many cancers are now considered not only treatable, but curable. Due to newly discovered and better tolerated cancer treatments, patients are living longer and with better quality of life.
