Scrooge, the musical

STORRS- Ebenezer Scrooge and a cast of more than 30 will sing and dance in Storrs when the play, Scrooge, the Musical, is performed at Storrs Congregational Church on Dec. 14 and 15. The familiar Charles Dickens tale of Christmas in Nineteenth Century London with Scrooge and his three ghosts is adapted from a 1970 film that in 1992 became a hit musical. Proceeds go to the church and the No Freeze Hospitality Center of Willimantic. Tickets are on sale through the church located at 2 North Eagleville Road in Storrs for the productions on Friday, Dec. 14, and Saturday, Dec. 15, all starting at 7 p.m.  The church office can be reached weekdays at 860 429-9382.  The cast includes Steve Ossias as Scrooge, Wally Robinson of Ashford, playing Marley, Bill Moskaluk of Clinton who plays both the young nephew and a younger Scrooge, Melissa Rood of Columbia who plays the Ghost of Christmas Present and Kiev Federowicz of Coventry as Bob Crachit.
