Vegetarian potluck
SUFFIELD - The Northern Connecticut Vegetarian Society is a nonprofit organization that advocates a compassionate and healthy vegetarian diet. All are welcome.
On Jan. 27 starting at 4:30 p.m. Northern Connecticut Vegetarians invites everyone to the Vegan Potluck at Suffield Senior Center, 145 Bridge St., Suffield. Anne Dinshah will be the featured speaker. She is co-author of "The 4 Ingredient Vegan and Apples, Bean Dip, and Carrot Cake: Kids! Teach Yourself to Cook," and author of "Healthy Hearty Helpings" and "Dating Vegans: Recipes for Relationships." She will share her secrets of successfully creating unique, easy, and delicious recipes from these completely different books. Everyone is invited who is interested in being healthy or in a healthy environment. Bring a healthy vegan dish to share along with your recipe and your name. There will be a serving table for raw foods and another table for conventional vegan foods. Vegan denotes no animal ingredients (zero honey, dairy products, eggs, meat, or fish). Bring your place setting (plate, cup, and utensils). A donation of $8 per adult is requested. Children are free.
