Friday fish fry
NORTH GROSVENORDALE- Council 2087 of the Knights of Columbus is planning nine weeks of its famous Friday fish fries. The festival of all things fish starts on Friday, Feb. 1, continues with a special fish fry on Friday, Feb. 8, and then moves on to the Knights' annual Lenten fish fries, which will take place every Friday from Feb. 15 to March 29.
Each Friday fish fry begins at noon and concludes at 7 p.m. The menu consists of fish and chips ($9); baked haddock with baked potato and vegetable ($11); bay scallops ($11); platters - clams and bay scallops, fish with clams or bay scallops, or baked haddock and bay scallops ($13); and fisherman’s platters ($16).
The fish may be enjoyed in the comfortable downstairs dining room at the Knights Hall at 1017 Riverside Drive (Route 12) in North Grosvenordale, which has table and booth seating, a fireplace, and a full bar.
