'One Million Bones'
VERNON - On Feb. 10, eight-grade EPOCH Art students from Vernon Center Middle School along with their art teacher, will host a "One Million Bones Workshop" at VCAC. One Million Bones is a fundraising art installation and education project designed to recognize the millions of victims killed or displaced by ongoing genocides. Its mission is to increase global awareness of the ongoing devastation of genocide, raise money to protect and aid displaced victims and educate students about tolerance through art. The event takes place Feb. 10 at 1 p.m. at Vernon Community Arts Center, 709 Hartford Turnpike. (Route 30) in Vernon. The event is free for all ages, children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
