Bousquet more than just an academic success in Putnam
Bousquet more than just an academic success in Putnam

Brittany Bousquet has outdone herself as Putnam High School’s Class of 2010 Valedictorian – representing the elite in all areas of student accomplishment from sports and academics to student leadership and community involvement. Acknowledged by her classmates as “worst driver” and as the student who has done the most for her class, Bousquet attributes her success as a respected basketball player, Student Council President, National Honor Society member, cross country runner – the list continues – to her family. Bousquet’s mother, Teacher of the Year at Putnam Middle School, and her father, the town’s Parks and Recreation Director, have had a strong influence on their daughter, who looks to them for help when one flaw – forgetfulness – gets the best of her. “I can’t say enough good things about my dad…I can text him any time of the day. Thank God he recently figured out texting!”
Bousquet also thanked science teacher and class advisor Marisa Stankiewicz, “She went above and beyond.” The University of Connecticut-bound senior, who will graduate at the head of her class on June 19, plans to study political science and international affairs, as she seeks a future in law.
