Budget presented

COLCHESTER- The First Selectman’s proposed budget for the next fiscal year has been published and is now available for review at the Town of Colchester website under, “Budget Information.” Residents can view all the sections of the budget, including the introductory letter from the First Selectman, his recommended budget adjustments, department descriptions, recommended staffing levels, and financial details. The town’s website is www.colchesterct.gov.
In addition to the capital and road improvements, the proposed budget also adds another police officer and an additional part-time social services coordinator.
The next step in the budget process is a series of budget workshops and board meetings to discuss and possibly make changes to the budget. The full meeting schedule can be seen on the town website.
