Historical society needs volunteers

The public is invited to a meeting to hear about volunteer opportunities at the Manchester Historical Society, including tour guides and helpers for the society’s annual district walking tours for schoolchildren. The meeting will be held on March 19 at 9:30 a.m., at the History Center, 175 Pine St. Many volunteers have been active for years. Learn something new and meet new people.
At the volunteer meeting, learn about upcoming opportunities such as serving as museum docents, tag sale workers, museum store clerks, exhibit designers, work crews indoors and outdoors. Free and fun training is available.
Members of the Historical Society board will be on hand to greet people. R.S.V.P. for the meeting or inquire about volunteering by calling 860-647-9983. Parking is available along Pleasant Street and in the lot north of the History Center.
