Electronics recycling

Manchester - posted Apr, 29 2011

The Town of Manchester will launch a free electronics recycling program available to all town residents. This permanent program will be located at the town's transfer station, 1 Landfill Way, Manchester, from 7:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Proof of residency is required.
As a result of the state of Connecticut's Electronics Recycling Law, residents will be able to recycle up to seven covered electronic devices, and an unlimited amount of non-covered electronics. Covered electronic devices are classified as: televisions; computers; computer monitors; printers, generated from a household.
Other non-covered devices include VCRs, stereos, DVD players, cell phones, MP3 players, mouse and keyboard, and other common electronics devices. For more information, contact Brooks Parker, environmental services manager at 860-647-5279 or e-mail bparker@manchesterct.gov.
