STORRS- University of Connecticut (UConn) Associate Professor of Political Science Jennifer Sterling-Folker has received the UConn Alumni
Association’s Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award for her record as an educator at the graduate level.
The Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award is given to faculty members who display outstanding abilities in classroom teaching and advising, thereby
bolstering the academic profile of the University of Connecticut. The award was one of ten distinctions given by the University of Connecticut Alumni
Association in 2011. Sterling-Folker will be recognized at the Alumni Association Awards Celebration on Friday, Oct. 14 at the UConn Storrs Campus, and the following day at the UConn Homecoming Game at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Connecticut.
Sterling-Folker was nominated for the award by both faculty colleagues and former students, who consistently praised the personal interest she takes in
students as an instructor and advisor.
