Leadership conference

WILLIMANTIC- Connecticut Light & Power Company has donated $1,000 each to Wilcox Technical High School and Windham Technical High School to help send students from the two schools to the 47th annual National Leadership and Skills Conference that began on June 20 in Kansas City, Mo.
The donation helped five students from Wilcox Tech compete in the Quiz Bowl Team competition and four from Windham Tech participate in the trade events. The students were among more than 5,600 outstanding career and technical education students -- all state contest winners -- who will compete in various trade, technical and leadership events.
