MANSFIELD- The E. O. Smith Leo Club President Sumaali Chheda received the "100% Leo Club President Award." the award is designed to recognize Leo Club presidents who have gone above and beyond in serving their club and the community
The award was presented by the Mansfield Lions Club President Dudley Hamlin during the Lions Award Night on June 21, 2011 at the Lions Park Pavilion.
Sumaali received a signed certificate from Lions Clubs International.
The E. O. Smith Leo Club is a volunteer service club founded by Sumaali Chheda and Kousanee Chheda in 2006. This year, 50 Leo members volunteered
through the E. O. Smith Leo Club in 24 service activities throughout the community. In addition, they organized several fundraisers, such as free
skates and candy booths, which raised hundreds of dollars. They also held their semi-annual Food, Clothing, and Eyeglass Drives, through which several
trucks full of donations were made.
