'Golf for Andrew'

Andrew Haraghey is 15 and has Cerebral Palsy. He is training for a spot on the U.S. Adaptive Ski team with hopes to ski in the Paralympics in Russia in 2014. Because of the considerable fees involved with training, equipment and travel, the following fundraisers will be held to support team. On Aug. 17 "Golf for Andrew" will be held from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Somers Golf Center, 349 Main St. in Somers. A portion from the sales of food, mini golf, rock wall, monkey motion and go karts will go to "Team Andrew." On Sept. 18 a Motorcycle "Ride for Andrew" Poker Run will starting at TSI in Ellington, with stops at The Country Diner in Enfield, Hooters in Manchester, The Perfect Swing in South Windsor and finishing at Riverside 159 in Windsor for a cookout.
