Library work will begin

The Kent Memorial Library will be relocating to a temporary home on the lower level of Suffield Town Hall at the beginning of September due to work to be done on the current building’s roof. The library will close at the end of business on Sept. 2 in order to move, but hopes to be up and running on the lower level of town hall the week of Sept. 12. Patrons will still have access to new books and media (DVDs, CDs), children’s services, computers and inter-library loan (ILL) in the temporary space. However, during the three months the current building may be closed, the library asks for advance notice when requesting particular titles. Newest books (both adult and children’s titles), magazines, newspapers, fiction, mysteries, large print, books on CD and DVDs will still be available, but staff may have to obtain older material from other libraries through the ILL service.
