Youth leaders from Glastonbury will host a town hall forum for parents, students, school and community leaders, and interested citizens on Nov. 1. at 6 p.m. at the Riverfront Community Center in Glastonbury. Following a catered dinner, a guest speaker, who is a Youth Sobriety Speaker from Alcoholic Anonymous, will tell his personal story of addiction. His presentation will be followed by a question and answer youth-led panel discussion. The panel will include the guest speaker, a medical expert and a Glastonbury Police Officer as well as members of the Youth Advisory Council. The Forum will focus on trends of marijuana use in Glastonbury. The number of Marijuana users continues to increase, and the Youth Advisory Council would like to inform everyone about this addictive drug.
