The Hicks Museum, on the historic Tolland Green, will offer two Victorian teas. Mothers, grandmothers, aunts and girls ages 6 - 11 are invited to a special tea on Nov. 5 at 2 p.m. China cups and plates and savories suitable for a child friendly palate will be offered by Victorian costumed servers. Will you attend in your fancy outfit? Enjoy Victorian riddles and parlor games between courses. Reservations and non-refundable payment of $10 per person are required. No allergies. On Nov. 6 at 2 p.m., adults may relax and indulge in a favorite Victorian pastime in the elegant style reminiscent of teas hosted by Elizabeth Hicks, the last owner of the family home. Tables of four to ten will be arranged in various rooms from the formal dining room to the cozy tower. Service provided by Emma Hicks Downing and Minnie Hellen Hicks complete with their sisterly banter. Come and discover who has graciously accepted the social honor of pouring tea.
