Ice fishing class

A "Family Ice Fishing Class" will be held at the Tolland Recreation Center, 104 Old Post Road, Tolland on Jan. 24 between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. The class is sponsored by the CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) and the Tolland Recreation Department. The class will be conducted by certified DEEP Aquatic Resources Education instructors. It will be a classroom environment that will teach students about, equipment, bait, techniques, terminology, rules and regulations, as well as ethics and sportsmanship, and where to fish and what you might catch. This program is for families and children ages 10 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The class is open to all and is $4 per person.
